Product Description

The Tractel Blocstop™ BS/BSO 500 Automatic Overspeed Braking System is a dedicated safety solution that has been engineered to provide reliable fall protection for dual-wire man-riding and vertical access systems. Designed for use with double 5/16 in. (8.4 mm) wire rope. This system supports loads up to 1,500 lbs (680 kg) and gives users dependable overspeed protection in critical personnel lifting applications.

The BS/BSO 500 continuously monitors descent speed on both ropes and automatically activates the braking mechanism if an overspeed or unsafe condition is detected. This immediate mechanical response arrests downward movement, and helps prevent uncontrolled descent. This helps by improving overall system safety. The fully mechanical design requires no electrical power, ensuring consistent operation even in harsh, remote, or hazardous work environments.

Optimized for compatibility with Tractel tirak™ man-riding hoists, and dual-line access configurations. The BS/BSO 500 gives users unrestricted rope travel during regular operations, while remaining ready to engage instantly in emergency situations. The devices design supports both temporary and permanent installations and is built to withstand demanding industrial conditions.

Built for applications where redundancy and enhanced safety are required. The Blocstop BS/BSO 500 gives you an added layer of protection for various vertical lifting operations. With simple installation and minimal maintenance requirements needed. This device gives operators the trusted safety performance that is backed by Tractels engineering.
