SKU: 704 | Main Frame Pawl Shaft ” Compatible with Lug-All Models 35-A and 40-A (Web Strap Hoists) The Pivot Point of Your Hoist's Load-Holding System ” OEM Main Frame Pawl Shaft Your web strap hoist's ability to hold a load securely in position ” without slipping, releasing, or drifting ” depends entirely on the precision and integrity of its pawl mechanism. At the center of that mechanism is the Main Frame Pawl Shaft. The SKU 704 Main Frame Pawl Shaft is a genuine OEM replacement component engineered specifically for the Lug-All model 35-A, a lightweight industrial-grade 1-1/2-ton web strap come along ratchet winch hoist, and the model 40-A, a lightweight industrial-grade 2-ton web strap come along ratchet winch hoist. If your pawl is not engaging cleanly, pivoting unevenly, or failing to hold position under load, a worn or damaged pawl shaft is often the root cause ” and this OEM replacement is the correct fix. Lug-AllLug-All The main frame pawl shaft serves as the precision pivot axle around which the main frame pawl rotates during the ratcheting cycle. As the handle is worked, the pawl engages and disengages the ratchet wheel in a controlled sequence, advancing the drum in one direction while preventing reverse movement under load. This load-holding function is not passive ” the pawl shaft bears the combined forces of the load and the ratchet mechanism with every cycle. Lug-All's double interlocking pawl mechanism ensures no load brakes will slip or fail in any environment, but that guarantee is only as good as the condition of the components that support each pawl ” including the shaft on which it pivots. A worn shaft introduces play and misalignment into the pawl's range of motion, reducing the precision of ratchet engagement and undermining the positive load-holding performance that makes Lug-All hoists uniquely reliable. Lug-All Lug-All Web Strap Hoists meet ANSI B30.21 specifications and each hoist is tested to 125 percent of their rated load. Maintaining that certified performance level over the service life of your hoist means replacing wear components with parts that are dimensionally and materially identical to the originals. The SKU 704 Main Frame Pawl Shaft meets that standard exactly. Lug-All Lug-All Web Strap Hoists are made with high-strength aluminum alloy castings and manufactured in the United States, and are trusted internationally across utilities, construction, industrial maintenance, and linework applications. These hoists were originally developed in the 1960s to pull and tension energized power lines and are used in bucket trucks and for underground utility work around the world ” demanding environments where pawl mechanism integrity is critical to operator safety on every single lift. Lug-AllLug-All Using authentic Lug-All replacement parts means sustaining the original design integrity of your unit ” the cast-aluminum structure, robust pawl assemblies, and reliable hardware that make Lug-All hoists a trusted choice in demanding industrial, construction, and utility settings. Inspect Your Pawl Shaft During Every Service Interval Because the main frame pawl shaft operates under repeated load and impact forces with every ratcheting cycle, it is a natural wear item in any hoist that sees regular heavy service. Regular maintenance and inspection of hoist parts are essential for ensuring safe and efficient operation, and addressing wear or malfunctions promptly contributes to the longevity and reliability of the hoist system. Signs of a worn pawl shaft include pawl wobble, inconsistent ratchet engagement, clicking or skipping under load, or visible wear at the shaft contact surfaces. Replace it proactively with the correct OEM part ” before a pawl failure becomes a load control failure. BH-USA This main frame pawl shaft is compatible with Lug-All models 35-A and 40-A only. Please verify your hoist model number before ordering.
