Main Frame Pawl Shaft “ SKU: 670 The Precision Pivot Pin That Anchors Load-Holding on Lug-All's Most Powerful Hoist When 6,000 lbs of load depends on a pawl staying exactly in position, the shaft that mounts that pawl cannot be left to chance. The Main Frame Pawl Shaft (SKU: 670) is the genuine OEM replacement shaft that secures the main frame pawl in the main frame casting of the Lug-All model 6000-15 ” the largest-frame, highest-capacity come-along hoist Lug-All builds. This main frame pawl shaft is compatible with Lug-All model 6000-15 only. J Harlen Co. The Lug-All model 6000-15 is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade 3-ton cable come along hoist ” delivering 3,000 lbs in single line with 15 feet of cable, or 6,000 lbs in double line with 7 feet 6 inches of cable. ShoreLandr Per the official 6000-15SH parts list, the main frame pawl shaft (Part #670) is listed immediately after the main frame pawl (Part #669) at reference position #42 ” confirming the shaft is the direct mounting component for the pawl within the main frame casting. The shaft passes through the main frame and the pawl bore, establishing the pivot axis around which the pawl rotates to engage and disengage the drum's ratchet teeth. The main frame pawl spring (Part #200) keeps constant tension on the pawl against the shaft, ensuring the pawl stays in contact with the drum face between strokes. J Harlen Co. The 6000-15 features a double locking pawl system ” one of two interlocking pawls is always engaged, so no load brakes can slip or fail, providing positive load-holding in all environments. The main frame pawl shaft is what holds the main frame pawl ” one half of that critical double-interlocking system ” in precise rotational alignment within the frame bore. A worn, corroded, bent, or undersized shaft introduces radial play into the pawl assembly. This creates inconsistent tooth engagement, audible ratchet skip under load, and in severe cases, pawl escape from the ratchet profile entirely ” a direct safety failure on a hoist operating at 3-ton capacity. Lug-All The 6000-15 pawl shaft is a model-specific component ” it differs in diameter and length from pawl shafts used on Lug-All's small, medium, and lightweight frame models, which must not be substituted. Only the OEM SKU 670 shaft provides the exact bore-to-shaft clearance and hardness specification required for reliable pawl function at full rated capacity. Using authentic Lug-All replacement parts means sustaining the original design integrity of your unit ” the cast-aluminum structure, robust pawl assemblies, and reliable hardware that make Lug-All hoists a trusted choice in demanding industrial, construction, and utility settings.
