Lug-All 636 - Stress Link
Stress Link “ SKU: 636 The Front-Line Overload Sentinel for Your Lug-All 1½-Ton Small Frame Hoist Overloading a hoist in the field can happen in an instant ” and when it does, the stress link is what stands between a minor interruption and a catastrophic failure. The Stress Link (SKU: 636) is the genuine OEM replacement safety component engineered for Lug-All's 1½-ton small frame web strap hoists, calibrated precisely to the capacity of these models so the protection system fires exactly when it should. This stress link is compatible with Lug-All hoist models 25-A, 25-B, and 25-i. The EHP Group
25-A ” Industrial-grade 1½-ton web strap hoist: 1,500 lbs single line / 3,000 lbs double line, 8 ft strap. Lug-All 25-B ” Same 1½-ton capacity, with hot-stick rings for electrical lineman work. Lug-All 25-i ” Same 1½-ton capacity, with an eye bolt main frame for fast double-line-pull setups and piggybacking. Hane Supply
The stress link is designed to break at 125 percent of the hoist's maximum capacity ” before any critical structural parts of the hoist, including the hooks, pawl, and frame, reach their breaking point. When a Lug-All hoist is used beyond its rated capacity, the stress link literally snaps ” warning the operator to back off the load before injury or damage is incurred. The overload link has elongated holes that allow enough movement for the stress link to snap, while still holding the handle socket assembly together so the hoist remains functional and the load can be safely released. The EHP GroupLug-All It's critical to remember that the socket assembly only offers proper overload protection when the stress link is intact. Once the stress link breaks, the handle assembly is held together only by the overload link ” which can endure a much higher overload force and is not designed to provide the same safety protection. For this reason, the stress link must be replaced immediately when it breaks. The EHP Group Replacing the stress link is easy and inexpensive. With two 7/16-inch box wrenches to remove the threaded link pins and nuts, a lineman working in a bucket truck can replace a broken stress link without leaving the bucket. Every new Lug-All web strap hoist ships with two spare stress links attached to the handle ” but it's good practice to keep additional SKU 636 replacements on hand so a broken link never means extended downtime. Lug-All Note that the SKU 636 is sized and rated specifically for the 25-A, 25-B, and 25-i at 1½-ton capacity. It is not interchangeable with the stress link for 1-ton models (SKU: 614) or 1½-ton medium/large frame models, which are calibrated to different capacity thresholds.

Critical Safety Reminder Never substitute two overload links for one stress link and one overload link. This eliminates the safety valve action of the handle assembly and can cause extensive damage to the hoist. Always replace a broken stress link with the correct model-specific OEM part. The EHP Group Order SKU 636 today and keep your Lug-All 1½-ton small frame hoist's overload protection system fully armed and ready.
