While the stress link is the component designed to break first, the Overload Link (SKU: 624) is the equally critical secondary safety component that holds the handle assembly together after the stress link activates ” keeping your hoist functional so you can safely release the load. This overload link is compatible with Lug-All hoist models 25-A, 25-B, 25-i, 2-A, 2-B, 35-A, 3-A, 3-B, 40-A, 4-A, 4-B, and 500-A-FH ” the most broadly compatible overload protection part in the Lug-All web strap hoist lineup, spanning ¼-ton through 2-ton capacity across small, medium, and Lightweight frame configurations. Lug-All The overload link has elongated holes that allow enough movement for the stress link to snap under overload conditions, while still holding the handle socket assembly together. This means that even after the stress link breaks, the hoist remains functional ” the load can still be safely released and the hoist taken out of service for repair. This is intentional by design: the overload link's higher structural threshold ensures the entire handle system doesn't fail catastrophically when overloaded.
