Lug-All 614 - Stress Link
Stress Link “ SKU: 614 Your Hoist's First Line of Defense Against Overload ” Replace It Before You Work In any lifting or tensioning operation, the unexpected can happen ” and when your Lug-All web strap hoist gets pushed past its rated capacity, one small component stands between you and a catastrophic failure. That component is the stress link. The Stress Link (SKU: 614) is the genuine OEM replacement safety link engineered specifically for Lug-All 1-ton web strap hoists. This stress link is compatible with Lug-All hoist models 2-A and 2-B. Both are industrial-grade 1-ton web strap come along ratchet winch hoists ” delivering 1,000 lbs single-line capacity with 10 feet of web strap, or 2,000 lbs double-line capacity with 5 feet of web strap. The 2-B adds hot-stick rings for electrical lineman work. PeaktradingLug-All The stress link is designed to break at 125 percent of the hoist's maximum capacity ” it will snap before any critical structural parts of the hoist, including the hooks, the pawl, and the frame, reach their breaking point. This isn't a failure ” it's the system working exactly as designed. When a Lug-All hoist is used beyond its rated capacity, the stress link literally snaps, warning the operator to back off the load before injury or damage occurs. The overload link has elongated holes that allow enough movement for the stress link to snap while still holding the handle socket assembly together ” keeping the hoist functional so the load can be safely released. The EHP GroupLug-All Once the stress link breaks, it is vital to replace it immediately. The socket assembly on a Lug-All Web Strap Hoist only offers proper overload protection when the stress link is intact. After the stress link breaks, the handle assembly is held together only by the overload link ” which can endure a much higher overload force and is not designed to provide the same protection. Continuing to operate with a broken stress link is dangerous and must not be done. The EHP Group The good news: replacing the stress link is fast, easy, and inexpensive. With two 7/16-inch box wrenches to remove the threaded link pins and nuts, a lineman working in a bucket truck can replace a broken stress link without leaving the bucket. Having a SKU 614 replacement on hand means you're never left waiting for parts when time matters most. The EHP Group The stress link breaks on a 25 percent overload ” or 125 percent of rated capacity ” making it an excellent accident preventative that keeps both the operator and the hoist protected. Critical Safety Notice Never attempt to use two overload links in place of one stress link and one overload link. This provides excessive strength and eliminates the safety valve action of the handle, which can cause extensive damage to the hoist. Always replace a broken stress link with the correct OEM part ” SKU 614 for the 2-A and 2-B. Lug-All Order SKU 614 today and keep your Lug-All 1-ton hoist's overload protection system fully operational.
