Reverse Lever “ SKU: 681 The Operator Control That Switches Your 3-Ton Hoist Between Lifting, Lowering, and Free Release Every Lug-All ratchet winch hoist requires a way to disengage the U-frame pawl from the drum ratchet teeth ” allowing the load to be lowered or the cable to be released. The Reverse Lever (SKU: 681) is the genuine OEM replacement control lever that makes all three operational modes possible on the Lug-All model 6000-15: lifting, controlled lowering, and free cable release. Per the official 6000-15SH parts list, the reverse lever (Part #681) is listed at reference position #15, mounted within the U-frame assembly directly adjacent to the U-frame pawl (#679) ” confirming its direct mechanical relationship with the pawl it controls. Lug-All The Lug-All model 6000-15 is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade 3-ton cable come along hoist ” delivering 3,000 lbs in single line with 15 feet of cable, or 6,000 lbs in double line with 7 feet 6 inches of cable. Lug-All To lower a load, the operator sets the reverse lever to hold the U-frame pawl away from the ratchet teeth ” this action is similar to the operation of a bumper jack, allowing the drum to rotate in the releasing direction under the load's weight while the handle controls the rate of descent. The reverse lever is the single component that enables this critical lowering function. Without a properly functioning lever, the hoist is restricted to a one-direction lift-only tool ” and the load cannot be safely controlled on the way down. Lug-All Beyond controlled lowering, the reverse lever also enables the free-release function ” free release quickly unwinds the cable from the drum, but will not operate without a minimum load of 15 lbs or more to maintain tension. This fast cable payout is essential in many rigging and tensioning operations where speed of setup matters. Lug-All A bent, broken, or missing reverse lever locks the U-frame pawl in its default engaged position ” permanently. The hoist will lift, but cannot lower or release. Note that the 6000-15 reverse lever (Part #681) is unique to this large-frame model and is not interchangeable with the reverse lever (Part #1155) used on small and medium frame Lug-All cable hoist models. Lug-All Using authentic Lug-All replacement parts means sustaining the original design integrity of your unit ” the cast-aluminum structure, robust pawl assemblies, and reliable hardware that make Lug-All hoists a trusted choice in demanding industrial, construction, and utility settings.
