Hot Stick Lever “ SKU: 587 Safe Remote Operation of Your Hoist ” Even on Energized Lines When working around live electrical equipment, the ability to operate your hoist from a safe distance isn't optional ” it's essential. The Hot Stick Lever (SKU: 587) is the genuine OEM replacement reverse lever engineered specifically for Lug-All hot stick web strap hoist models, delivering the remote-control operation that electrical linemen and utility workers depend on every shift. This hot stick lever is compatible with Lug-All hoist models 25-B, 2-B, 3-B, and 4-B ” the complete family of Lug-All convertible web strap ratchet winch hoists equipped with hot-stick rings for electrical lineman work. Lug-All The hot stick lever serves as the external reversing lever on the U-frame of your hoist. It controls the U-frame pawl ” toggling between lifting, backing off, and load-holding modes. When installing the 587 hot stick lever, the "W587" marking must face outward, and it is secured to the U-frame pawl shaft with a roll pin for reliable, locked engagement. On standard hoists, this reversing action is done by hand directly on the hoist body. On hot stick models, the 587 lever extends the operator's reach, allowing the direction-of-travel to be changed remotely using an approved hot line tool ” a critical safety advantage when working near or on energized power lines. Lug-All Lug-All web strap hoists were specifically developed for overhead maintenance and construction of energized lines, and models equipped with hot stick levers, rings, and hot stick latches allow for remote operation with heavy insulated gloves. The hot stick lever is the core component that makes that remote operation possible. Lug-All These hoists ” and this lever ” are trusted by utility linemen around the world for pulling and tensioning energized power lines during line construction or repair, typically used in bucket trucks or for underground utility work. A damaged, worn, or missing hot stick lever on a -B series hoist is a direct safety concern that demands immediate attention with the correct replacement part. Lug-All Per the official Lug-All parts list for hot stick hoist models, the hot stick lever (part 587) is listed as a quantity-two component per hoist ” confirming that two levers are used per unit. If one is damaged, replacing both ensures consistent performance across both lever positions. Lincolnhoist
