Duct-O-Wire CAS-2L100 Laser Collision Avoidance
The Duct-O-Wire CAS-2L100 steps up to a Class 2 visible laser for crane to crane or crane to end stop separation over distances up to 100 feet, giving you a longer effective range than an LED based system. As a two event system, it lets you program a slow approach signal ahead of a full stop rather than a single abrupt cutoff, which is gentler on both the load and the equipment.
The visible laser makes field alignment simple and fast, saving installation time compared to systems that require specialized alignment tools. The kit includes a pre assembled, DIN mounted power pack that allows the DC sensor to run directly from a 120 VAC supply, so you do not need to source a separate low voltage feed for the system. Each event supports a normally open or normally closed contact rated at 1 amp maximum at 120 VAC.
This collision avoidance system is well suited to facilities that want smoother, staged deceleration rather than an abrupt stop, protecting both loads and mechanical components from sudden shock. It is a strong upgrade path from single event systems when your crane runway calls for longer range detection.
