Product Description

The Tractel Blocstop™ BSO 2550 Automatic Overspeed Braking System is a heavy-duty safety device that is engineered to gives users reliable fall protection for high-capacity man-riding and vertical access applications. Specifically designed for use with 9/16 in. (14.2 mm) wire rope. This system supports loads up to 5,500 lbs (2,500 kg) and is optimized for compatibility with the tirak™ XE2553P man-riding hoist.

The BSO 2550 continuously monitors descent speed and automatically engages the braking mechanism if overspeed or unsafe movement is detected. The devices immediate mechanical response arrests downward motion, and helps by preventing any uncontrolled descents and improves worker safety in critical lifting situations. Its fully mechanical operation requires no electrical power, ensuring dependable performance in industrial, construction, and hazardous environments.

This device is designed to work seamlessly with high-capacity tirak man-riding systems. The BSO 2550 allows smooth, unrestricted rope travel during normal operations, while remaining ready to activate instantly during any emergency conditions.
