Hook Nut “ SKU: 656 The Threaded Fastener That Secures Your 3-Ton Hoist Hook Assembly in Place In a ratchet winch hoist, the hook system is where every pound of load ultimately transfers from the hoist to your rigging ” and the hook nut is the critical threaded fastener that holds that entire hook assembly securely in the main frame. The Hook Nut (SKU: 656) is the genuine OEM replacement hook nut engineered specifically for the Lug-All model 6000-15, Lug-All's heaviest-duty cable come-along hoist. This hook nut is compatible with Lug-All model 6000-15 only. The EHP Group The Lug-All model 6000-15 is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade 3-ton cable come along hoist featuring double or single line lift capabilities ” delivering 3,000 lbs with 15 feet of cable in single line, or 6,000 lbs with 7 feet 6 inches of cable in double line. ShoreLandr Per the official 6000-15SH parts list, three hook nuts (Part #656) are used per hoist, each secured by a hook nut locking pin (Part #143) to prevent the nut from backing off under dynamic load and vibration. The hook nut threads onto the shank of the forged hook assembly and cinches the hook washer (Part #657) against the main frame casting ” establishing the axial position of the hook, retaining the 360-degree swivel capability, and preventing the hook from pulling through the frame under load. J Harlen Co. The Lug-All 6000-15 features 360-degree swivel hooks with safety latches for quick, positive loading and unloading ” and that full-rotation swivel capability depends entirely on the hook nut being correctly torqued. Too loose, and the hook can shift axially during operation, creating slop and wear at the hook bore. Too tight without the locking pin, and the nut can gall or back off under the vibration of repeated load cycles. The locking pin (Part #143) must always be used to secure the nut in final position after installation. Lug-All At 6,000 lbs of double-line capacity, any hardware failure in the hook assembly is not a minor inconvenience ” it is a dropped-load incident. The 6000-15 features forged steel safety hooks with 360-degree swivel and safety latches that straighten if overstressed, providing a visible warning system ” but that protection system depends on a hook assembly that is properly secured by an intact, correctly torqued OEM hook nut. Lug-All Using authentic Lug-All replacement parts means sustaining the original design integrity of your unit ” the cast-aluminum structure, robust pawl assemblies, and reliable hardware that make Lug-All hoists a trusted choice in demanding industrial, construction, and utility settings.
