U-Frame Assembly “ SKU: 672 The Mechanical Drive Sub-Frame That Converts Handle Strokes into 3-Ton Cable Pull In a ratchet winch hoist, the U-frame is where operator input becomes controlled load movement. Every stroke of the handle drives the U-frame ” and the U-frame pawl mounted within it ” to advance the ratchet drum one tooth at a time toward your target load position. The U-Frame Assembly (SKU: 672) is the genuine OEM replacement U-frame for the Lug-All model 6000-15, the most powerful portable cable come-along in the Lug-All lineup. This U-Frame Assembly is compatible with Lug-All model 6000-15 only. Hoists Direct The Lug-All model 6000-15 is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade 3-ton cable come along hoist featuring double or single line lift capabilities ” delivering 3,000 lbs in single line with 15 feet of cable, or 6,000 lbs in double line with 7 feet 6 inches of cable. ShoreLandr Per the official 6000-15SH parts list, the U-frame (Part #672) at reference position #19 is the structural casting that houses the U-frame pawl (Part #679), the U-frame pawl shaft (Part #680), the spring support roll (Part #683), the reverse lever (Part #681), the retaining washer (Part #682), the shaft snap washers (Part #671), and the U-frame pawl spring (Part #195) ” all of which are mounted within or supported by this single casting. The U-frame pivots within the main frame on the handle bolt, swinging through its arc with each handle stroke to engage the drum ratchet teeth through the U-frame pawl. J Harlen Co. The 6000-15's shear pin is located between the handle socket and U-frame and is designed to break audibly if the hoist becomes overloaded ” and the double interlocking pawl mechanism ensures that one pawl is always holding the load at all times. Both of those critical safety systems interface directly with the U-frame: the shear pin mounts through the handle socket into the U-frame, and the U-frame pawl is one of the two interlocking pawls. A cracked, bent, or deformed U-frame compromises both systems simultaneously. The EHP Group When operating the hoist under load, the handle must never be allowed to "fly" ” this can cause damage to the U-frame. Impact damage to the U-frame from handle fly is one of the most common causes of U-frame replacement in field-used hoists. Inspect the U-frame casting for cracks at the pivot bore and pawl mounting points after any suspected overload or handle fly event. Lug-All Using authentic Lug-All replacement parts means sustaining the original design integrity of your unit ” the cast-aluminum structure, robust pawl assemblies, and reliable hardware that make Lug-All hoists a trusted choice in demanding industrial, construction, and utility settings.
