784-1000 - Fiberglass Handle
SKU: 784-1000 | Fiberglass Handle ” Compatible with Lug-All Model 500-A-FH (1/4-Ton Web Strap Hoist) Restore Your Hoist's Ratcheting Power and Overload Safety ” OEM Fiberglass Handle for the 500-A-FH The handle on your web strap hoist is more than an operating lever ” on the model 500-A-FH, it is a purpose-engineered fiberglass component that works in direct concert with the hoist's built-in overload protection system. The SKU 784-1000 Fiberglass Handle is the genuine OEM replacement handle designed exclusively for the Lug-All model 500-A-FH, a 1/4-ton web strap winch hoist with 17 feet of web strap and a 500-pound single line capacity that includes a fiberglass handle with stress links that break when the hoist becomes overloaded, protecting the user and equipment. Whether your handle is cracked, broken, or has been compromised in a drop or impact incident, this OEM replacement restores full ratcheting function and the correct mechanical interface for the 500-A-FH's stress link overload protection system. Lug-All The choice of fiberglass for the handle material on the 500-A-FH is a deliberate engineering decision ” not an aesthetic one. Fiberglass offers a combination of high strength, low weight, and critically, dielectric properties that make it significantly less conductive than steel or aluminum handles. For operators working near energized equipment in utility, linework, or electrical maintenance environments, a fiberglass handle contributes to the overall non-conductive profile of the hoist alongside the woven polyester web strap ” both materials selected specifically to reduce conductivity risk. All Lug-All Come Along Ratchet Winch Hoists are equipped with stress links, shear pins, or bendable handles to protect you from possible overload damage and injury ” and in the 500-A-FH, the fiberglass handle is the component within which the stress link and overload link socket assembly is housed. Lug-All This is why handle condition is directly tied to overload protection integrity. The stress link socket assembly is one of the most important safety features of a Lug-All Web Strap Hoist ” and that assembly is housed within and supported by the handle. A cracked or damaged fiberglass handle can compromise the geometry of the socket assembly, affecting how and when the stress link activates under overload conditions. Replacing a damaged handle with the correct OEM part ensures the socket assembly geometry is restored exactly as designed. Lug-All Replacement Lug-All fiberglass handles quickly install with a new groove pin, a 1/8 inch punch, and a hammer ” no specialized tooling required for a field-ready repair. Note that Lug-All groove pin part number 517 must be purchased separately and is required to complete the installation. Always use a new groove pin ” never reinstall a used pin ” to ensure the handle is properly locked in position for safe operation. Lug-AllLug-All The 784-1000 fiberglass handle has a net weight of 0.507 lbs, a length of 13 inches, and a diameter of 1-1/4 inches ” compact and lightweight dimensions that preserve the portability of the 500-A-FH while delivering full operational and safety function. Add part #517 to your order now to ensure you have everything needed for a complete, safe installation the moment your replacement handle arrives. Lug-All This fiberglass handle is compatible with the Lug-All model 500-A-FH only. The 500-A-FH uses a fiberglass handle ” do not substitute a steel or aluminum handle from other Lug-All models. Please verify your hoist model number before ordering.
